Dunlop Q2 Review

Postby motomanfan » May 10th, 2012, 12:01 pm

Found this 2010 review of Dunlop Sportmax Q2s. After doing a track day and a few hundred street miles on them, I have to agree that they are all they are cracked up to be

From the article:
"To put this in perspective and give to an example of how good the Q2’s overall racetrack ability is: This is the first and only street-bred tire I’ve ever used which I could safely and happily conduct a track-only shootout on – without question. In fact, there's a good chance I will do exactly that for an upcoming test, as they not only have the grip needed but will last far longer than a race tire.."

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways totally worn out shouting holy poop what a ride!!!

When i did the trackday last month, my Q's still had the stickers on them. Hadn't ridden as much as an inch on them.

Got out there and really dug them. Ridden the street with them a couple times and still like them.

There may be better tires out there, but I doubt there's a better value.
