Feedback on good racing leathers

Postby motomanfan » November 7th, 2011, 3:49 pm

OK guys and gals. I need a track day leather suit.

Dont want to shell out the big bucks for Dianaise or even full retail for A Stars. Looking for 500 and under. Also looking at Craigslist.
Give me your opininions on low- to mid range suits. Looking at the Seduccui (sp??) for 500 new. The Cycle Gear brand scares me. Any others to consider or look for?

I plan on doing 2-4 track days a year.

Loook for sales/closeouts on A Stars , Tecknic, Shift, Tourmaster, or Revit brands. Good values on 1 & 2 year old suits can be found. This is also a good time of the year to shop as 2012 model line is introduced.
Can I take em to the bridge?

I love my arlen ness and they're not much more than 500. Very comfortable and good quality.

Besides, unless you're going to ride the Buell ONLY on track days, I'd hope you'd wear the suit more often

I had ordered them through CG but Arlen Ness is in the East bay and might be easier going directly to them as you can try on different sizes and suits. Might be cheaper cutting out the middle guy

Got my AGV from CG for about $500. They're in the Parts Unlimited catalog, but here's a linkfrom another site:

I've had a 2 piece Shift suit, and now have a 1 piece Frank Thomas.

Outside of the lining, the FT suit has been really nice.

You might be able to find these around at pretty good price too.
